Personalized Retold Parables

These are parables (and some non-parables) losely modeled on actual parables or events described in the Christian New Testament. Since the whole point of this is to make it relevant to modern people, the wordings and settings have been altered to fit into modern North American society.

You must supply some key words, to personalize these. Warning: Sometimes the results may come across as offensive. Actually, many were offended by Jesus' parables, given Jesus' empathy for the underdogs and harsh words for some of the most respected people. You can rewrite your responses until the result makes sense to you. (And no, I won't ever see what you put in, so don't worry; have fun!)

This is not a scholarly source, and this is NOT meant as a translation. It is an interactive thought experiment, an attempt to understand, to help people think about how these parables and stories could apply today... to each one of us.
